Ana Torrea
Ana Torrea joined the ABC30 team in January 2024.

A Bay Area native, Ana is thrilled to call the Central Valley home. Her career has taken her all over California!

Before coming to ABC 30, Ana worked as an Anchor/Reporter at KION. While there, she covered the severe winter storms that impacted the Central Coast, as well as President Biden's visit to the region. Ana also worked on a special report that focused on Filipino farmworkers and how community groups are working to make sure their legacies are remembered.

Prior to KION, Ana worked as a Bureau Reporter/Fill-in Anchor at Action News Now in Chico-Redding. While in the North State, she covered many of the state's devastating wildfires, such as the Dixie, Salt, and Zogg Fires. She was there when Modoc County became the first county in California to reopen after Governor Newsom's stay-at-home order during the pandemic. Ana also covered the attempted recall of three Shasta County supervisors, from when the papers were served all the way to Election Day.

Ana landed her first on-air job in 2019 at Redwood News in Humboldt County. While in Humboldt, she helped launch and pioneer the station's first-ever morning show.

Ana's news journey started at The Filipino Channel (TFC). She started as an intern and eventually had an opportunity to work on many of the network's shows. After some time at TFC, she went on to work at KPIX CBS 5 as a news writer and production assistant.

Ana graduated Cum Laude from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism.

When she's not reporting, you can catch her trying new food places, watching her favorite shows, or exploring the town.

If you see Ana, don't hesitate to say hi! Feel free to follow her on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
